Missy

Missy came to RAPS with Trouble when their owner, a RAPS volunteer, lost her battle with lung cancer. While Trouble has since been adopted, Missy continues to live at the sanctuary.

Missy was very shy for a long time, but recently has been letting more and more people get to know her. You may still have to make the first move if she hasn't met you before, though.

I first met Missy properly last week when I was talking with Leslie in the front courtyard and started hearing this funny croaky little meow coming from somewhere nearby. I looked down to see this grey and white cat watching Leslie and trying to call her over for some cuddles. Leslie did as she was asked, and introduced me while she was at it. Soon Missy was happily head-butting my leg and purring.

  1. Missy, indeed, loves head-butting and a few scratchy-scratches. :)

  2. She's also a cuddler - if you don't move around too much, she will let you pick her up and hold her on your chest (arm under her belly, cradled in both arms). A little purr machine! She's in the Connor building.
