Albi was trapped as a stray by a woman in Richmond who brought him to RAPS in June of 2012.
He was very shy at first, but Leslie's been working with him. She says if she passes by where he's sleeping on a chair, she'll reach out and stroke him a bit. Through interactions like this, Albi has slowly stopped running away when approached. Recently, he even let Leslie rub his tummy.
RAPS is short for Regional Animal Protection Society, a registered charity and operator of a sanctuary which houses and cares for nearly 500 homeless or abandoned cats in Richmond, BC, Canada. The Neko Files is a celebration of the sanctuary and all those who live and work there.

Leslie and I named him after Al. His nickname is Albi. I thought, it's sooo the wrong cat. Al's so mellow!

Where does he hang out?
ReplyDeleteHe's in the back courtyard. When I met him, he was hanging out on the stairs leading to the deck behind the singlewide.
